SINOPSE:
De pai para filho, mas também de pai para filha, a caça é um legado transmitido com grande cuidado e rigor na família Marchand. Este costume é muito mais do que uma simples técnica, pois permite que os membros da família se fixem num ritmo quotidiano e desenvolvam as suas relações entre si, ao mesmo tempo que mantêm uma ligação complexa com a camurça dos Alpes do Sul.
SYNOPSIS:
From father to sun but from father to daughter as well, hunting is a legacy passed on with great care and full rigour in the Marchand family. This custom is far more than a simple technique, it actually allows family members to settle into a day-to-day rhythm and to develop their relationships with each other, while having a complex connection with the chamois of the Southern Alps.

Samy Pollet-Villard nasceu em Annecy em 1994. Licenciou-se em Cinema na Escola Superior de Arte e Design (HEAD) de Genebra e obteve o Mestrado em Documentário na Universidade de Aix-Marseille. O seu filme de licenciatura, Kindred Beast, foi apresentado em muitos festivais, incluindo o Festival de Cinema Jean Rouch (França) e o Festival de Cinema de Trento (Itália). Desde 2023, trabalha para a empresa de distribuição internacional Andana Films.

Samy Pollet-Villard was born in Annecy in 1994. He graduated from the Bachelor Cinema of the High School of Art and Design (HEAD) in Geneva and the Documentary Master of Aix-Marseille University. His graduation film, Kindred Beast, has been presented in many festivals including Jean Rouch Film Festival (France) and Trento Film Festival (Italy). Since 2023, he works for the international distribution company Andana Films.
